Cheshire Woman of the Year Award 18th April 2018

Thank you all for the wonderful music on Wednesday last week. As ever you put together just the right mix of music and it makes the day for our nominees even more special. They – and the Committee – really appreciate your being there and playing for us. It’s a shame you don’t get to hear the applause when I officially thank you after the lunch!

You were absolutely fabulous and hit just the right tone for content and level. We had some very complimentary feedback. Janette McCormick (deputy Chief Constable and guest speaker) sat next to me at lunch and said what a good idea it was to have live music and that you were really good and ‘just right’ for the occasion. I did give you a big thank you in my speech but not course you are well gone by then! I think we will have raised about £6000 for the NSPCC and given some very special women a fabulous day. Thank you so much for helping us achieve it.

Celebration Lunch, Whitaker Museum and Art Gallery, Rossendale

Thank YOU for singing for us – and the boys for playing. It was lovely. I could have listened all day! My husband, Ian, asked me to say thank you, we’ll keep your card handy and we’ll certainly recommend you to friends. It was obvious that you enjoyed your singing & music – that’s all 3 of you. It shone through the performance.

Littleborough Arts Festival 2013

It was with great pleasure that we welcomed back for a second time the “Valerie Bracken Trio” to bring their cool sophisticated jazz tones to the 2013 Littleborough Arts Festival.
Their artistry contributed to the Festivals aim to provide a variety of quality experiences to the public.

The VB Trio, with their music (performances), have also kindly supported and sponsored the Arts Festival outside of our the festival week

Wedding Reception. Warley 15th June 2013

A lovely day with the sun shining on a beautiful garden full of blooms.  The bride, groom and guests posed for photographs at this military wedding, whilst toasting the couple with champagne.  The trio provided a gentle romantic musical accompaniment to the occasion.  We got grateful thanks from the bride and groom and the brides partents for our contribution.  We enjoyed it as well.

best wishes to you both.

Successful Birthday Party Gig

Following its performance at a private 60th birthday event on 1st September, here are some positive comments from the host.’Just to say how much we enjoyed the music  on Saturday night.A lot of the guests commented on how much they enjoyed it as well. You played a great variety of tunes which people could relate to, we all loved your singing and the joint’Fly me to the Moon’ was great fun. The three of you were in the background and at the same time present, a great trio and very nice people  too.You all made a great contribution to a very memorable evening. A big thank you to all of you’.

Excellent Gig at Lightcliffe!

This was the reaction of a member of the club following our recent appearance there:

‘The Valerie Bracken Trio’  recently played at Lightcliffe Golf Club.

They are highly skilled musicians and Valerie’s unique voice  blends wonderfully with the guitar and keyboards. We loved their selection of  American songs.

They played throughout much of the dinner and we were still able to chat and hear each other – a great bonus!

I would recommend them to anyone arranging  a function needing music be it  small and intimate, as ours was, or a larger event.

If you feel that we could meet the needs of your event or venue, please contact Robin or Valerie. We will be happy to visit the venue to discuss your needs.
